CDIO 2024 Asian Regional Meeting Announcement (Sept 5~7)

Dear CDIO member,

I hope this letter finds you all in good health and high spirits. On behalf of the organizing committee of the CDIO 2024 Asian Regional Meeting here at Hokkaido Information University (HIU), I am thrilled to invite you to attend our meeting from Thursday, September 5th to Saturday, September 7th.

This year, we are focusing on the theme “Digital Innovation in Higher Education – Steering Students toward Success”, and we humbly request that as many CDIO collaborators or prospective members as possible come to Hokkaido and share your expertise and insights.

The event will be held over two and a half days, with various keynotes, workshops, lectures and round-tables. In addition to renewing acquaintances and making new friends, you can also relax while enjoying a networking dinner to be held at the end of the second day. The third and final day (AM only) will be devoted primarily to CDIO regional matters.

As noted, the CDIO 2024 ARM will be held from Thursday, September 5th through to Saturday, September 7th. It is being held at Hokkaido Information University, located 20kms away from Sapporo, Japan’s 5th largest city. Buses will transport you to and from the venue everyday, leaving from and returning to downtown Sapporo. We expect the weather to be in the pleasant low 20s (Celsius, not Fahrenheit or Kelvin!) in the daytime. The total cost – including participation fee, transport from Sapporo to HIU and back, lunch, refreshments, networking dinner and meeting goods – is 37,000 yen (about US$235) for early birds, and 39,000 yen (about US$250) for later payments. Early bird payments were scheduled to end on July 15th but due to popular demand, have been extended until July 19th. The final deadline for payments is one month later, on August 16th. Please refer to the registration site.

If you need an invitation, or would like to be part of the poster presentation segment, please contact us. We would love you to be involved. The easiest way to do this is through the meeting website (click).    (https://cdio2024arm.do-johodai.ac.jp)
